Mclntosh Park is located in Albion just two miles away from the Albion College campus. Mclntosh Park was named after James Mclntosh, Albion’s first Black city councilman. On Saturday, the city held its ribbon cutting ceremony opening up the new $2 million playground project which includes restroom facilities, a picnic shelter, a splash pad, and more.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, there were speeches from Albion College President Joe Calvaruso ‘78, Albion College Alumnus Mike Sequite ‘75, and the mayor of Albion Victoria Garcia-Snyder who thanked Tony and Christy DeNicola for their generous donation to this project.
