The Brit S3, E2: The Importance of Equity : The OVA Grant

Since fall 2020, The Brit has been showcasing student voices and views to the Albion College community. 

In this episode, The Brit sits down with Kaydee Hall, the current project coordinator for the Violence Against Women Campus Grant (or VAWA), and Anna Howard Shaw Center for Gender Equity (CGE) on Albion’s campus. Hall dives into the importance of the Grant, the new center name and  explores the opportunities that can be utilized by both faculty and students on our campus.

Along with Hall, students are able to understand the absolute importance of safety and precautions on campus and how equity fits into the puzzle. Creating a more inclusive space is another priority is an aspect of learning that Albion College is capitalizing on with the CGE and VAWA grant from here on into the future.
