Four new senators elected into student government

Albion College’s Student Senate welcomed four new students into their organization, marking the first election of the semester. The students were elected by peers and sworn in on Sept. 30, making them four of 27 senators that encompass the government.

As stated in Student Senate’s Constitution, “promotion of the welfare, protection of the rights, and representation of the opinions of the students of Albion College in a way consistent with basic principles of republican government and liberal arts education,” senators uphold a true government while acting by the students’ voices.

These newly sworn in senators will hopefully continue the long standing tradition of Student Senate, along with acting in the students’ best interests.
